Neither height nor depth, nor anything else
in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Romans 8:39
Prayer of the Day
 |
Friday 27 January 2012
Lovely God,
you are our perfect gardener.
You patiently nurture, tend and care for us.
For all the times we have chosen to grow in our own ways,
we are sorry.
You always forgive us.
You always love us and we are so humbled.
Our prayer is that you live in us and that we live in you;
that your roots grow ever deeper into us
and ours, ever deeper into you;
that we abide ever more closely with you.
We lay down our lives for you, dear friend,
and pray that in us you find
loyal and loving servants. Amen.
Elizabeth Guest, Loughton Methodist Church
Blessed be the love which chose us before the foundation of the world.
Blessed be the grace that saved us before the world began.
Blessed be the glory prepared for us from all eternity. Blessed be God for ever
and blessed be his glorious name! Amen.
Charles Haddon Spurgeon (1834-1892)
